Accokeek Academy is located on Berry Road in the Community of Accokeek, Maryland.
The school is made up of two separate campuses. It was formed in the mid-2010’s when Henry G. Ferguson Elementary School and Eugene Burroughs Middle School were combined. The school has classes for Pre-K through grade 8. It also retained the Talented & Gifted Center (TAG) Magnet Program from Henry Ferguson.
In the fall of 2014, a new building for the elementary school-level was completed. It is located between the old middle school building and the old elementary school building. The middle school level occupies the new building, while the old middle school building undergoes an extensive renovation. The elementary school occupied the former Ferguson building. The new elementary school building will be known as the “under campus.” The new middle school building is known as the “upper campus.” The old Ferguson building was demolished.
