It is more likely now that you could be scammed. Lots of people are posting fraudulent rental ads, usually on Craigslist and sometimes on Facebook. These people are not licensed real estate agents or property managers. They also are not the owner of the home. Many times, these scammers will require you to provide them with money up front and charge very high fees. We recommend that you use extreme caution!
