Dale M. Servetnick became a Realtor licensed in Maryland in July, 2002 .  He practiced residential real estate sales and rentals at another real estate brokerage company.  That lasted until September 22, 2013.

In September, 2008, Dale and Terri H. Osburne founded DMS Properties, LLC Residential Property Management.  It was a residential property management company formed for the the sole purpose of providing property management services to our clients and those of various real estate companies.

Dale continued to handle real estate rental and resale transactions through the other company.  On September 22, 2013, though, Dale made the decision to become principal broker.  This allowed the property management company to transition into a full-service Real Estate Brokerage Firm in Maryland.  We are now DMS Properties LLC Residential Real Estate Services.  The company is registered as such with the Maryland Real Estate Commission (MREC).

The career change into Real Estate followed 26 years of Federal Service at the United States Department of the Treasury.  Dale has lived in Maryland since 1977,  He spent 22 years living in Northern Prince Georges County.  Dale relocated to Charles County in Southern Maryland in 1999.  Dale is very familiar with all of the counties surrounding Washington DC, Baltimore and Southern Maryland, including Howard County, Anne Arundel County, Carroll County, Baltimore County, Harford County, and the Eastern Shore.  The network of contractors and assistants that we have established allows us to work almost anywhere in Maryland.

Dale has purchased several investment properties, along with co-owner Terri H. Osburne, and enjoys discussing investments in real estate and teaching others how to acquire a real estate portfolio and gain the most return on investment (ROI).  Many of the homes on the market now are distressed, short sale and REO (bank foreclosure) properties, but there are also some relocation properties and, naturally, residential resale and rental listings owned by actual homeowners.

In addition to the listing and selling of these properties, Dale also helps to coordinate the maintenance of the properties and handles Property Preservation for the banks who own them.  This also means, unfortunately, in some cases handling the evictions of tenants and/or owners.  Dale has personally handled twelve evictions in the past five years (four tenants and eight former owners) which is definitely the least enjoyable part of the job, but something that, unfortunately, needs to be done.

Dale is a member of the Southern Maryland Association of Realtors, the Maryland Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.  We are also members in good standing of the Better Business Bureau, the Charles County Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Residential Property Managers.  In addition to real estate sales and rentals making up a large portion of our business, DMS Properties LLC Residential Real Estate Services is managing over 60 homes located in 8 Maryland Counties.
