St. Charles High School is located at 5305 Piney Church Road in Waldorf, MD. The school opened in August, 2014. It serves as an anchor in a new green community underway in the St. Charles area. It is very close to Regency Furniture Stadium. That is home to the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs baseball team.
There are nearly 1,300 students who attend the school. It also contains several specialized features that are available for use by all Charles County Public Schools students. Those include a digital classroom, Science on a Sphere, and a 6-lane indoor swimming pool.
St. Charles High School offers the same program of study that is available at all Charles County high schools. And all of the courses it offers allow students to meet requirements to obtain a Maryland State Board of Education diploma. Students can pursue a scholar’s course of study, enroll in Advanced Placement courses, and participate in extra-curricular activities, sports, and clubs.
