Huntingtown is a community located in the northern part of Calvert County, MD. The community was established 1683. It shared a border to the northeast with the community of Chesapeake Beach. To the northwest is the community of Dunkirk. Huntingtown shares its southern border with the community of Prince Frederick.
Huntingtown has many large estate homes that were built in the past 15 years. They are located in small developments along Routes 2/4. The community is home to Huntingtown High School. The Calverton School is located just south of the town center. Huntingtown has a total area of 8.1 square miles. All but 0.04 square miles of that area is land. The community sits at an elevation of 174 feet.
