Located to the east is the community of Street and the community of Pylesville. Parkton shares a border to the west with the community of Manchester and the community of Hampstead. Located to the south is the community of Sparks Glencoe and the community of Monkton.
The area is mostly agricultural in nature. The primary plants that are grown here are corn, soy beans and other industrial use crops. The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. Parkton has a humid subtropical climate.
