Perryman is a community in southern Harford County. It is located near the head of the Chesapeake Bay and is surrounded by waterways and neighboring communities. To the west, Perryman borders Church Creek and the Bush River, which is part of the Chesapeake Bay. To the south is Sod Run, an inlet connected to the Bush River. The eastern boundary follows Chelsea Road and Aberdeen Proving Ground. The City of Aberdeen is located to the north, while the community of Riverside borders Perryman on the northwest side.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Perryman covers approximately 5.6 square miles. About 5.5 square miles is land, and 0.1 square miles is water. The area has a humid subtropical climate with hot, humid summers and mild to cool winters with moderate rainfall throughout the year
One of the community’s historic landmarks is St. George’s Parish Vestry House, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
Transportation through the area includes the busy Northeast Corridor rail line used by Amtrak and Maryland Area Regional Commuter trains. Although the rail line passes through Perryman, there is currently no passenger station in the community.
