If you have signed an agreement with a real estate agent to help you with your home search, then we can’t help you.  You should speak with your agent to set up the showing for you.  You can enjoy the many benefits of working with licensed real estate agents like us.  You can learn Nine Reasons You Need an Agent to Help You with the Real Estate Process

For us to help find the right home for you, we would like for you to review and sign the Representation Agreement. This allows our agents to represent your best interests during your search.  We can also negotiate with the homeowner on your behalf.  Also, we will need you to provide us with photo ID.  If you choose to not sign the Representation Agreement, then our agents will be acting in the best interest of the homeowner.  They cannot answer any questions you may have about the home.  You will be an “unrepresented party” and asked to sign the Understanding Whom Real Estate Agents Represent disclosure.  This document explains the relationships between Real Estate Agents and the general public.

It is more likely now that you could be scammed.  Lots of people are posting fraudulent rental ads, usually on Craigslist.  These people are not licensed real estate agents or property managers.  They also are not the owner of the home.  Many times, these scammers will require you to provide them with money up front and charge very high fees.  We recommend that you use extreme caution!  You should verify the identity and license status of anyone who claims to be an agent or the owner of a rental home.
