The Goose Bay campground and marina are located in Welcome. Rosemary Lawn is a plantation that has been owned since the 18th century by the Barnes-Compton family. Barnes Compton was a 19th-century Congressman and state senator. He lived there and inherited if from his mother, Mary Key (Barnes) Compton. The plantation was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.
