We began managing this home for the property owners in February, 2014. We placed several different sets of tenants during that time. The most recent long-term tenants that were occupying the property abandoned it without anyone’s knowledge sometime in 2023. They claimed to be impacted by the pandemic but were unable to qualify for emergency rental assistance. They also couldn’t provide any proof during the Failure to Pay Rent Hearing in District Court and ultimately abandoned the home before a formal eviction could be scheduled.
An applicant was subsequently accepted, but failed to complete the lease process. Shortly after that, the home was occupied by someone who had a fraudulent lease and was scammed out of thousands of dollars. They voluntarily left the property when the hearing in District Court to begin an eviction was completed.
