Church Creek is a town in Dorchester County. It is part of the state’s Eastern Shore. The town is located approximately 6 miles south of the City of Cambridge. Old Trinity Church is located in the town. It was an Anglican brick church that was built in 1675. It is the oldest church building in the United States that is in continuous ecclesiastical use.
The town is located at the head of the Church Creek River. That is a tributary of the Little Choptank River. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.34 square miles. All of that area is land. The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. Church Creek has a humid subtropical climate.
