Clements is a relatively small community. It is located in central St. Mary’s County. It shares a border with the community of Chaptico to the north west. It shares a border with the Town of Leonardtown to the East and the community of Mechanicsville to the North. To the south, the community has access to Saint Clements Bay and the community of Avenue and the community of Bushwood.
Clements got its name from Saint Clement parish on the island of Jersey. The island is a self-governing British Crown Dependency near the cost of Northwest France and is the largest of the Channel Islands.
