Services We Provide to Assist Our Tenants

The licensed real estate agents and property managers at DMS Properties, LLC Residential Real Estate Services is a full-service real estate brokerage company.  As such, we mostly represent the homeowners we serve in the sale or management of their properties.  Even though we work in the best interest of our homeowners, we are required by the Maryland Real Estate Commission (MREC) to treat everyone fairly.  That protection extends to the tenants who rent homes that we manage.  We provide a a wide variety tenant assistance services.  Some of things that we do to help our tenants include:

• Processing rental applications and sharing the information with the homeowners so they can make a decision;
• Writing the lease to make sure that the interests of the tenants and the homeowners are protected;
• Explaining all of the provisions of the lease to make sure that tenants understand what is expected of them;
• Providing many ways for our tenants to pay their rent every month;
• Maintaining the property to ensure everything works properly;
• Helping tenants with any repairs that are their responsibility and working with them on payment methods;
• Providing a rental history update for tenants so that they know about the status of their account;
• Providing verification of residency and rental history when the tenants decide to move; and
• Helping our tenants find a new property if they need to move and advising them on their ability to buy a home.
