Wreaths Across America Ceremony at the
Cheltenham, Maryland Veterans Cemetery
On December 13, 2025 at 12:00 pm, we will REMEMBER the Fallen, HONOR those who Serve, and TEACH our children the value of Freedom. The Wreaths Across America Ceremony will be at Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Cheltenham. The event is to Remember and Honor our veterans. This is done through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.
The 2025 event will be our fourth year participating. Obviously, most of the attention for the Wreaths Across America Ceremony is focused on Arlington National Cemetery. However, we want to remember those in our area.
We hope that the sponsorships will increase. We urge you to help our location lay wreaths at as many graves as possible in 2025. When you visit the site, you can see live information about the number of wreaths purchased. You can click the red “Sponsor” button. There are several options for the number of wreaths available for you to sponsor:
- 1 Wreath Individual Sponsorship ($17)
- 5 Wreaths ($85.00) — This is the Most Popular Option
- 12 Wreaths ($204.00)
- Custom Number of Wreaths
We would like to hear about your thoughts and, if you agree, will include them here. Please contact us about your sponsorship of this event. We want to see how many of our site visitors participate. We won’t provide your personal information unless you authorize disclosure.
This is a well-attended event and many people go to the cemetery in the community of Cheltenham to participate. According to Wreaths Across America, the goal for 2024 is to place wreaths on 22,884 graves at Cheltenham. Unfortunately, they only covered 28.6% of the goal.
What does it mean to sponsor a wreath?
It means you’ll honor an American hero at Cheltenham on Wreaths Across America Day. It’s a day that’s been set aside to lay wreaths at the places where we remember, honor and teach about our veterans.
Your sponsorship will ensure that a wreath is hand-crafted of all-American balsam and hand-tied with a red velvet bow. This is done in Columbia Falls, Maine. It will then be sent to Cheltenham. That’s where a volunteer will place it on the marker of a fallen hero. That volunteer will then “say their name” to ensure that the legacy of duty, service and sacrifice of that veteran is never forgotten.
We appreciate any support for Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Cheltenham and Wreaths Across America! If you would like more information, let us know.
