Can You Schedule Showings of Homes
Not Listed by Your Company?
Yes, and the process is easy. When you begin your search for homes to rent, start by choosing the Maryland communities where you’d like to live. After selecting a county, click on the link titled “Homes for Rent in xxxx, MD xxxxx.” This will open a new tab displaying all available rental listings in Bright MLS.
As you review the properties, write down the MLS number or property address for each home you’d like to tour. Once you’ve identified one or more homes, return to our website and scroll down to the Contact Us Form at the bottom of the page. Please provide:
- Your full name
- Your cell phone number
- Your email address
- The MLS numbers or property addresses you want to see
- A few dates and times when you’re available
This information helps us coordinate showings on your behalf. Because these are not our listings, we must work with the seller’s agent to arrange the appointments. Please note that same-day showings are not possible, and in some cases, it may take several days to confirm a time with the listing agent.
Before we can show any homes to you, we are required to execute the Exclusive Right to Represent the Buyer/Tenant Agreement. This agreement outlines your responsibilities as a client and explains how we are compensated for the real estate services we provide. We cannot show properties to you if you are not represented. You will also need to upload a valid photo ID as part of this process.
Because these homes are not our listings, we must coordinate all showings with the listing agent’s company. In some cases, we may also need to work around the schedules of current occupants. For these reasons, please be flexible with your availability as we arrange your showing appointments.
