Do You Know of Any Rental Properties
that Accept Housing Vouchers?

There are many Voucher programs that are available in Maryland.  Unfortunately, we do not know of any master list of homes for rent that will accept them.  Starting October 1, 2020, however, Source of Income became a protected class in the entire State of Maryland.  This means that almost every Maryland rental property must consider voucher applicants.  This will be true for all homes that are listed in the Regional Multiple Listing Service (Bright MLS) by real estate agents.  There are some limits to this change in the Maryland Fair Housing Laws.  While a homeowner cannot state that no vouchers will be considered, the normal application processing and screening will still be done.  You can read about the procedures we use to process rental applications.  Applicants can be declined due to credit issues, criminal background information or previous evictions and legal action.
