How Long Have You Been
Managing Rental Properties?

We formed our company to manage residential properties in September, 2008.  At that time, we were known as DMS Properties, LLC.  The company is registered with the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT).

We would like to offer you our FREE E-Book.   It is Investment Real Estate: Your Best Hedge Against Inflation .  It will provide you with a wealth of general information about residential real estate beginning with how to build wealth with real estate.

It also explains the rental listing process and information about property management to protect your investment.  Finally, you will learn about the services that we provide to our homeowners.

You can easily set up a Zoom Meeting to get  more information about our services.  We can discuss your specific circumstances.

Zoom Meeting for E-BookProvide us with a couple of times that you would like to meet for your 30-minute session.  We think this is a better way to start than using just email, text messages and phone calls.  Give it a try!  We want to become your preferred real estate agents and property managers and look forward to speaking with you.

We started managing our first residential home in January, 2009.  Our first property was located in the White Plains community in Charles County.  The owner decided to rent.  The market conditions at the time meant the owner would have had to sell it as a short sale.  After that home, our property portfolio grew quickly.  That growth in management was partially due to the  housing crisis from 2007 to 2011.  It caused a large drop in property values and many foreclosure sales.

At the beginning of 2011, we were managing 18 properties.  By the end of 2012, we were managing 43 properties.  Most of these homes are owned by single owners.  We have also worked with institutional investors who owned many homes.

We made the change to DMS Properties, LLC Residential Real Estate Services on September 22, 2013.  That allowed us to also help home sellers and buyers with their real estate needs in Maryland.  Our “inventory” of properties under management reached a high of about 75 homes in 2018.  That was when we took on about 30 properties for a large financial institution.  It turned out to not be a good fix and we terminated that relationship.

The expansion slowed down as owners have decided to sell their homes.  We now have a presence in most Maryland Counties.  Through our Nationwide Referral Network, we can help people find good agents anywhere in the United States and Canada.  We are continuing to expand our services and territory.  We will be continue to add more counties to our territory.  We are hiring Real Estate Agents and Property Managers to our staff.  Finally, we are working on a plan to start managing vacation rentals.
